Inspiration Research

Inspiration Research Limited (IRL) is an independent company founded in 2003 by Dr. Kenneth Chapman. His vision for Inspiration Research is to educate patients to better manage their diseases and contribute to the advancement of novel therapies. Since inception, Inspiration Research has successfully completed over 70 human clinical studies with leading global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Novartis, Boehringer Ingelheim, Amgen, AstraZeneca, Nycomed, Schering-Plough, and Forest Laboratories.Currently, IRL specializes in clinical studies with patients diagnosed with asthma, heart disease and COPD.

In addition, IRL operates a pulmonary function test laboratory. Pulmonary function tests are valuable tools for doctors to diagnose patients with asthma, COPD, and other respiratory disease.

Maternal Infant Child and Youth Research Network – MICYRN

The Maternal Infant Child and Youth Research Network (MICYRN) is a federal not-for-profit, charitable organization founded in 2006 to build capacity for high-quality applied health research. It links 20 Canadian maternal and child health research organizations; is affiliated with more than 20 practice-based research networks; provides support to new and emerging teams; and has established strong national and international partnerships. MICYRN’s Clinical Trials Consortium is working to develop a collaborative national infrastructure to support clinical investigations, with an emphasis on multicentre clinical trials.
