CATALIS Quebec

CATALIS has an extended government mandate aimed at increasing the number of clinical trials carried out by companies in Quebec, promoting excellence in clinical research in Quebec and facilitating collaboration between the various players in the life sciences to accelerate the development of innovative treatments. The CATALIS initiative is funded by the Government of Quebec and by industry players in the form of a public-private partnership with a mission of impact on the environment of the life sciences.

Clinical Trials Ontario (CTO)

Clinical Trials Ontario is an independent not-for-profit organization supported by the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Research and Innovation. Our vision is to make Ontario a preferred location for global clinical trials by providing the life sciences industry with a streamlined approach to conducting multi-centred clinical trials while ensuring the highest ethical standards for participant safety.

Emmes Canada

Emmes CRO Services ULC (Emmes Canada) is a Canadian-controlled business founded in 2012. Emmes Canada is affiliated with the global CRO, The Emmes Company LLC. Emmes was founded in 1977 and has approximately 750 employees worldwide with offices in the Metro-Washington DC area, Bangalore and Delhi India, and Burnaby British Columbia. Emmes is dedicated to our mission of making a healthier world through research in medical science and public health. Emmes Canada offers a full range of contract research organization (CRO) services and has supported client organizations, including government, academic, not-for-profit, and the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

Emmes offers support for the entire process of clinical trials from study design and protocol development, operational planning, oversight, and execution, through data cleaning and analysis to manuscript generation and submissions to regulators.  Since 2012, Emmes Canada has provided statistical consulting and analysis support in support of Canadian clinical trials and public health studies. In recent years, owing to development of a strong reputation among local client organizations, demand for services has expanded and Emmes Canada as met those needs by adding service lines including Clinical Data Collection and Management Services (2016), Clinical Project Management and Operations Support (2017), Regulatory Support (2018), Clinical Site Monitoring (2018), and Pharmacovigilance (2020). These service lines mirror the primary service lines available the global Emmes Company CRO, but are delivered by Canadian staff in-country through Emmes Canada.
