Presentation Overview
In this session Pat Clifford (N2’s Treasurer and a Re-imagine Working Group member) will provide an overview of the CTO Re-imagine working group initiative’s vision, work to date and opportunities to be involved in future efforts. Clinical trial activity in Ontario and worldwide has been suspended and slowed due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Re-imagine Working Group is looking at processes and practices to support movement toward decentralized processes and to generate a set of planning considerations and tools for an anticipated post-COVID-19 landscape. The goal has been to 1) to support the creation of tools and guidance documents detailing considerations in implementing decentralized clinical trials, and 2) to catalyze the alignment of stakeholders and provide tools that support harmonized uptake.
It is intended that the project will deliver tools and documents that are easily accessible, vetted, and agreed to in principle by stakeholders. The tools will be immediately useful and produced for consumption by researchers and sponsors and will help form a common framework of considerations to harmonize approaches to decentralized solutions for trials in Ontario (and beyond).
