Research Manitoba is the provincial agency responsible for coordinating and funding research excellence and innovation across Manitoba, spanning health, natural and social sciences, engineering, and the humanities. Established in 2014 under provincial legislation, the agency consolidates key funding programs to support early-career researchers and develop strategic partnerships for innovation  . It also oversees RITHIM, a harmonized provincial system for ethics, privacy, and institutional impact reviews, streamlining health research infrastructure across the province.
