Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and health-care hospital research centre.  Research is organized by eleven research axes (or programs).  Located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

The Institute supports over 600 researchers, over 1,000 graduate students, post-docs and fellows devoted to a broad spectrum of fundamental and clinical research.

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre

RVH is a regional health centre in Barrie, Ontario, located 80 kilometres north of Toronto. As the largest hospital in the region of Simcoe-Muskoka, RVH’s team of over 380 physicians, 2,500 employees and 850 volunteers provides exceptional care and specialty services to almost half a million residents, including cancer care, stroke services, orthopaedics, intensive care, mental health and interventional radiology. RVH is focused on delivering high-quality, safe care that puts patients and their families first.

On June 17, 2013, RVH made research a strategic focus by committing to accelerate teaching and research as one of its four new strategic directions.  To date, a broad spectrum of research is being conducted at RVH, ranging from Clinical Trials through minimal retrospective chart reviews.

Mount Sinai Hospital  is as an internationally recognized 442-bed acute care academic health sciences centre affiliated with the University of Toronto.  Clinical strengths include women’s and infants’ health, chronic disease management, specialized cancer care, emergency medicine, and geriatrics.

Bridgepoint Active Healthcare is an internationally recognized, 464-bed rehabilitation and complex care hospital and the single largest organization in Canada to focus exclusively on research, care and teaching for people with complex health conditions.  Clinical areas of focus include inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, palliative care, dialysis and specialized complex care.

The Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute ranks in the top ten biomedical research institutes in the world.  Our researchers lead the way in health science research and help to advance the future health of Canadians. Our experts continue to make inroads into the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, psychiatric disorders, kidney disease, women’s and infants’ health, inflammatory bowel disease, and spinal cord injury.

St. Mary’s Hospital Oncology Research Center

St. Mary’s Research Centre operates within the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal which offers healthcare and social services close to 370,000 people with a team of 10,500 employees and 880 physicians.

St. Mary’s Research Centre focuses on Health Services Research and Clinical Research. The main themes are:
