The Covenant Health Research Centre (CHRC) is dedicated to integrating research into practice, developing partnerships, facilitating inquiry and promoting innovation in alignment with Covenant Health’s Mission, Vision, Values and strategic direction.  The CHRC offers services to accommodate the research needs for all CH sites across Alberta.

Innovative Medicines Canada – Rx&D

North York General Hospital

North York General Hospital has a long track record of innovation in patient safety and process improvements. The hospital is one of the first in Canada to achieve HIMSS Stage 6 in the implementation of electronic medical records. North York General provides an exceptional care experience for patients and their families, and has proudly served diverse communities in North Toronto, and beyond, since 1968 through a wide range of acute care, ambulatory and long-term care services. As a leading community academic hospital, North York General has made meaningful investments to foster research and innovation, such as the Gordon F. Cheesbrough Research Chair in Family and Community Medicine, the first of its kind in Canada.

Nutrasource Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Services is a full-service contract research organization (CRO) that helps health companies bring products to market with strong science and regulatory confidence.  Through our vertically-integrated service platform, Nutrasource is your one-stop shop for international regulatory, clinical, and product testing solutions for dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, and everything in between.  As your virtual R&D department, we will help you tackle your toughest scientific problems so you can sell safe, effective, high-quality products to improve healthcare globally.

Peak Research

Peak Research and Peak Medical Specialty Centres are new, state-of-the-art respiratory clinics located in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Medicine Hat and Strathmore that offer a full array of pulmonary diagnostic equipment and treatments. We are located in various centres in conjunction with Pinnacle Medical Centres which comprise of family physicians, health care providers and therapists. The health care professionals at Peak are passionate about offering patient focused care and are committed to providing the best possible treatment for their patients. All our Respiratory Therapists are Certified Respiratory Educators (CREs) or are in the process of becoming CREs.  As such, we are developing a Respiratory Research Program in order to further enhance patient care.  Since we operate in nine (9) new facilities across the province our patients have the benefit of shorter wait times and physicians that are easily accessible. This approach also allows healthcare providers and physicians from different medical fields (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Physiatry, Neurology, Physiotherapy, etc.) to collaborate and communicate, further enhancing patient care. Peak Research Group and Peak Medical Specialty Centres are excited about the opportunity of working with various pharmaceutical companies in offering improved patient care as we understand that this is of the utmost importance to patients and the community.
