Health Sciences North Research Institute

The Advanced Medical Research Institute of Canada (AMRIC) is the affiliated research institute of Health Sciences North (HSN) in Sudbury, Ontario. AMRIC was designed to create a community that brings together researchers, clinicians, regional partners and industries to help foster the creation and dissemination of promising therapeutics and solutions targeting the health priorities of the North. AMRIC’s purpose is to contribute real and sustained solutions for health care challenges faced by the people and communities of Northeastern Ontario.

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital

The Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital (Holland Bloorview) is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital. Our vision is to create a world of possibility for kids with a disability. We pioneer treatments, technologies, therapies and real-world programs that give children with disabilities the tools to participate fully in life.

Hôpital Montfort

Hôpital Montfort is Ontario’s Francophone Academic Hospital, offering exemplary person-centered care. The hospital serves over 1.2 million people in Eastern Ontario, in both official languages. In 2014, it earned Accreditation with Exemplary Standing from Accreditation Canada, and was designated Best Practices Spotlight Organization by the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario.

With its main partners, the University of Ottawa and La Cité college, as well as other post-secondary programs, Montfort is preparing the next generation of Francophone healthcare professionals. Since 2015, it has joined the ranks of Canada’s top 40 research hospitals through the activities of the Institut du Savoir Montfort, its knowledge institute. As part of its 2016-2021 strategy, Montfort is striving to become “your hospital of reference for outstanding services, designed with you and for you”.

 

Horizon Health

Focused on patient and family centred care, Horizon Health Network (Horizon) operates 12 hospitals and more than 100 medical facilities, clinics and offices, and provides services ranging from acute care to community-based health services. With a collaborative, team approach to offering services in English and French, Horizon delivers sustainable, safe and quality health care services to residents of New Brunswick, as well as northern Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Horizon is a leader in research and innovation and manages a research office that oversaw several hundred studies last year. At the end of fiscal 2014-2015, 733 research studies were underway. With the new strategic plan, Horizon has committed to increasing its current research capacity to spur medical innovation and become a leader in medical research in Atlantic Canada. Horizon continues to collaborate with Vitalité Health Network and other stakeholders to better serve a common community, and to ensure outstanding care to all New Brunswickers.
