CATALIS Quebec

CATALIS has an extended government mandate aimed at increasing the number of clinical trials carried out by companies in Quebec, promoting excellence in clinical research in Quebec and facilitating collaboration between the various players in the life sciences to accelerate the development of innovative treatments. The CATALIS initiative is funded by the Government of Quebec and by industry players in the form of a public-private partnership with a mission of impact on the environment of the life sciences.

CHU de Québec is the largest health care center in the province of Quebec and makes the top third in Canada. It regroups a workforce of over 14,000 employees and 1,700 physicians, dentists and pharmacists. The CHU has a leadership position in many specialties like oncology, infectious diseases, diabetes, pediatric, psychiatry, ophthalmology, traumatology, rheumatology and many more. CHU de Québec is the largest health care teaching institution in the province of Québec. The Centre de Recherche of the CHU de Québec is the largest francophone research center. It regroups 550 active researchers and over 1,000 students.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, and one of the world’s leading research centres in the area of addiction and mental health. CAMH is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, and is a Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Centre.
