Research Coordinator at the Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU)

Sarah Bridges is an early career researcher passionate about patient engagement, equitable access, and knowledge translation. As a Research Coordinator at the Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU) at the Saint John Regional Hospital, she supports patient-oriented research aimed at improving health and well-being in the Maritimes. More recently, her work has focused on enhancing access and onboarding processes for patient partners on research teams.

At MSSU, Sarah leads qualitative research and analysis, develops knowledge translation plans and outreach activities, and coordinates a wide range of health research projects. She is especially committed to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in healthcare and research. This dedication led her to join the CTEA Committee, where she has been an active member for one year.

Sarah holds a BSc in Kinesiology and a Master’s in Applied Health Services Research, both from the University of New Brunswick. She is a recipient of both the CIHR Graduate Scholarship and the Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship. Sarah also enjoys writing grant applications in the research and non-profit sectors, where she applies her strengths in knowledge translation.

In her spare time, you’ll often find her quilting, crocheting, or snuggling with her dog Homer while cheering on her favourite baseball team.
