N2 Annual Conferences
For over 18 years, the N2 Annual Conference has brought together Canada’s clinical research community to share knowledge, spark ideas, and strengthen connections. This flagship event features engaging presentations, expert panels, and meaningful discussions on the evolving landscape of clinical research.
Open to members and non-members alike, the conference is a space to learn, network, and contribute to conversations that shape the future of research in Canada.
N2 Regional Meetings
N2 hosts regional meetings in collaboration with partner institutions across Canada. These events offer a valuable space to connect with peers, share insights, and discuss issues that matter—both within your region and across the national research landscape.
Whether you’re new to N2 or a long-time member, regional meetings are a chance to hear updates, exchange ideas, and help shape the direction of clinical research in your area.
The 2024 Central Regional Meeting took place in Winnipeg on October 24, bringing together 50+ participants from 15 organizations to explore the theme of clinical trials in cannabis. Special thanks to our collaborators and to Research Manitoba for supporting attendee registration.
The 2024 Eastern Regional Meeting was held in Oshawa, Ontario on September 12 in collaboration with Lakeridge Health. The event focused on advancing clinical research in community hospitals through collaboration and innovation, with presentations on legal risks, inspection readiness, capacity building, public communication, and academic partnerships.
The 2023 Atlantic Regional Meeting in Halifax focused on enhancing the efficiency of multi-site trials in Canada, with discussions on collaboration, technology, ethics, and front-line experiences.
The 2023 Eastern Regional Meeting in London focused on advancing hospital-based investigator-initiated research, with sessions on pediatric trials, Health Canada Q&A, and strengthening Canada’s research ecosystem.
The 2022 Western Regional Meeting was held virtually in collaboration with Michael Smith Health Research BC, featuring sessions on regulatory trends, CIHR updates, and site inspection preparedness.
The 2019 Eastern Regional Meeting in Hamilton, held with PHRI and Hamilton Health Sciences, featured sessions on audit readiness, ICH E17, GCP (R2) implementation, and common inspection findings in Canada.
The 2019 Western Regional Meeting in Vancouver, held with CHÉOS and Clinical Trials BC, featured N2 and GCP updates, Health Canada compliance tips, and insights on multi-regional trials.
N2 Community Forums
N2 hosts virtual Community Forums throughout the year to spark conversation, share knowledge, and create space for members to connect around key topics in clinical research. Held via webinar, these interactive sessions offer updates, insights, and practical takeaways from peers and experts across the network.
Forums often feature guest speakers from the N2 community, including other N2 members, collaborators, and representatives from Health Canada, CIHR, and our N2 Committees.
Whether you’re joining to listen, learn, or contribute, Community Forums are a meaningful way to stay engaged and informed.
