The Atlantic Clinical Trials Network (ACTN) is a collaborative, pan-Atlantic initiative working to strengthen and accelerate clinical research across Eastern Canada. ACTN brings together academic institutions, health authorities, and research organizations from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, with a shared goal: to improve access to high-quality clinical trials in the region and ensure that patients and communities benefit from the latest advancements in medical research.

ACTN plays a key role in building research capacity, harmonizing processes, and supporting clinical trial readiness across the Atlantic provinces. By fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, ACTN is helping to position Atlantic Canada as a strong, unified partner in national and international research efforts.
