The Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) du Nord‑de‑l’Île‑de‑Montréal serves approximately 450,000 residents across Ahuntsic, Montréal‑Nord, Saint‑Laurent, Villeray, La Petite‑Patrie, and Bordeaux‑Cartierville. It oversees five hospitals—including the Hôpital du Sacré‑Cœur de Montréal, a Level I trauma and teaching hospital affiliated with Université de Montréal—and operates six CLSCs and eleven long-term care facilities. Backed by a team of over 12,000 staff, the CIUSSS conducts research in three key areas: biomedical science, social health, and child/adolescent mental health.
