CIUSSS de la Mauricie-et-du-Centre-du-Québec

CIUSSS MCQ is the integrated university health and social services authority for the Mauricie and Centre‑du‑Québec regions, serving over 500,000 residents across approximately 62 care sites (hospitals, rehabilitation centres, CLSCs, long-term care, etc.). Established on April 1, 2015, it employs around 22,000 staff, including more than 1,000 physicians and hundreds of researchers and volunteers, offering services ranging from acute care and mental health to public health, rehabilitation, and research.

Steeped in its academic mission, CIUSSS MCQ is affiliated with Université Laval and Université de Sherbrooke. It supports clinical and population health research—including public health, genetic studies, and telehealth—coordinated across its facilities, and is guided by a robust organizational framework and leadership team.
