CTRNet is Canada’s national non-profit consortium of leading biobanks, established in 2004. It sets and promotes national standards for tissue and biospecimen collection, storage, and distribution, offering a single electronic portal for access to high-quality human tissue and clinical data—empowering translational health research across the country  .

Through its programs, CTRNet provides certification for biobank operations, national standards, software tools, and education initiatives to support consistent, quality-controlled tissue resources for researchers.
