Brightshores Health System serves as the integrated health network for Grey and Bruce counties in rural Ontario, operating six hospitals—including Owen Sound Regional Hospital—and a Wellness & Recovery Centre for mental health and addictions. With over 2,100 staff, 250+ physicians, and 1,000+ volunteers, it provides comprehensive services—such as emergency care, oncology, stroke, dialysis, surgery, and ambulatory diagnostics—across a population of approximately 175,000 residents and seasonal visitors. Brightshores also houses the Brightshores Research Institute, which focuses on rural healthcare innovation.
