CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent

CISSS du Bas‑Saint‑Laurent is a government-run integrated health and social services authority serving around 200,000 residents across an area of approximately 22,000 km²—from La Pocatière to Les Méchins. With nearly 42 service points, 7,500 staff, and 580 medical professionals, it delivers a full spectrum of care—from acute and emergency to long-term, rehabilitation, and public health programs. The CISSS is also active in therapeutic clinical research, with trials underway in oncology, rheumatology, cardiology, nephrology, and infectious diseases.
