To accelerate our growing research program, OVH invites applications for a Research Scientist to promote the uptake of research across the organization, inspire a culture of inquiry, and help establish strength in practice-based research that meets the needs of the communities we serve. This is a three-year term position.
Reporting Line & Focus
Reporting to the Senior Director, Academics, the ideal candidate is a seasoned methodologist with an entrepreneurial spirit and experience designing and conducting research in implementation science, knowledge translation, and quality improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Pursue your own successful scientific work
- Support and mentor emerging researchers
- Design and conduct research; analyze and interpret data using statistical methods
- Develop and implement new research methodologies
- Write research reports and scientific publications
- Collaborate with internal and external researchers and scientists
- Present findings at conferences and workshops
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in a field relevant to healthcare
- Expertise in research methodology relevant to healthcare
- Experience with statistical analysis software
- Knowledge of research ethics and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with scientific literature databases and search tools
- Experience mentoring emerging researchers
- Demonstrated success obtaining external research funding (grants/partnerships)
- Proven ability to share research via peer-reviewed publications and presentations
