The Canadian Association of Research Administrators (CARA), also known in French as ACAAR, is Canada’s national professional association for research administration teams. Founded in 1971, CARA represents nearly 1,000 members across universities, hospitals, government agencies, and industry. Its mission is to strengthen the profession through training, advocacy, professional development, networking, and shared best practices.
