Register for Research Week at the Royal!

N2 Member The Royal Mental Health Centre has an event taking place the week of May 6-10. Register for Research Week at The Royal: a week-long series of interactive workshops, panel sessions and networking opportunities with the goal of highlighting the latest discoveries and innovations in mental health research – and how those innovations are improving care for patients at The Royal and beyond. Event info for the week and our preliminary program can be found here.

Research Week is open to the public, and some of the week’s highlights include:

  • An interactive Discovery Fair where attendees can meet our researchers, test our VR and wearable technologies, sign up for tours of our Brain Imaging Centre, etc.
  • A special panel discussion with our eRIMh scientists, moderated by prominent mental health advocate Senator Stan Kutcher
  • Introduction to Research workshops that will give attendees crash-courses on topics such as community-based mental health research and brain imaging (i.e. what does mental illness actually look like in the brain)
  • 2019 N2 Annual Conference Overview!

February 5th and 6th marked N2’s 12th annual conference. Again this year we gathered in Toronto at Vantages Venues on King street to listen to speakers, network and discuss issues important to Canada’s clinical research community. This summary provides highlights from this year’s meeting as well as an overview of attendees and feedback on the meeting. As in previous years it wouldn’t be the N2 annual meeting without some weather issues on the last day. The Board hopes those who attended found the meeting to be valuable and that those who couldn’t be with us find this newsletter is useful and inspires you to join us next year.
