At Alberta Health Services (AHS) within CancerControl Alberta (CCA), there are two main Clinical Trials Units (CTUs): the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre (TBCC).  The CTUs provide trained staff and supportive services to Principal Investigators (PIs) or researchers who are conducting oncology clinical trials.  The CTUs work in collaboration with Alberta Cancer Clinical Trials (ACCT) – Business Development Unit (BDU) which provides a provincial hub for communications, collaboration and coordination.  This entire entity within CCA comprising of the CTUs and the BDU is collectively referred to as “Alberta Cancer Clinical Trials” or “ACCT”.
